The Minister of Electricity and the representative of the governor of Anbar inaugurate the Akaz gas-fired power plant.

The Minister of Electricity, Engineer Adel Karim, and the representative of the Governor of Anbar, his Administrative Deputy Mr. Jassim al-Halbousi, in the presence of Members of the Council of Representatives Mr. Adel al-Mahlawi, Mr. Ahmed al-Salmani, and Ms. Asma al-Ani, the Akaz gas-fired power plant, with a design capacity of 250 megawatts, following tireless efforts and joint cooperation between the Ministry of Electricity and the Anbar Provincial Government in serious attempts to address the electricity crisis in the province. It is hoped that the opening of this plant will contribute to improving the national electricity supply throughout all areas of Anbar.
