The governor of Anbar, Mr. Muhammad Nouri, attended an expanded meeting of all governors at the Ministry of Planning on Wednesday to discuss and determine the mechanisms for distributing the funds proposed for the provinces in the 2024 Federal General Budget Law.
During the meeting, the governorates’ plans and the mechanism for distributing these funds were discussed, in addition to a review of the latest developments in preparations for the general population and housing census, and the need to meet the requirements of the provincial statistics departments in order to ensure the success of the census scheduled to take place next November, as the preliminary pilot census will take place next May, while the final census will be held on November 20 of this year.
The meeting discussed the projects slated for inclusion this year and the need to focus them on providing services to citizens, as well as the need to fulfill the inclusion requirements for the projects and complete the formalities, which are a fundamental and crucial element in expediting the inclusion process and, consequently, the speed of funding and implementation of the projects in the governorates.
