The Governor of Anbar Hosts a Roundtable Discussion for Cultural and Academic Leaders, Attended by His Eminence Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim
The governor of Anbar, Engineer Omar Mash'an Dabous, hosted an expanded roundtable discussion that brought together a select group of academics, intellectuals, and media figures from Anbar Province. The event was attended by His Eminence Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, and took place at the Anbar International Hotel in Ramadi on the sidelines of his visit to the province.
The session addressed a number of intellectual and national issues related to strengthening national identity and fostering a culture of dialogue and moderation, the role of cultural and academic elites in shaping social awareness and fostering the values of coexistence and civil peace, as well as the importance of harnessing scientific and intellectual resources to support development and reform efforts and build a cohesive society capable of facing challenges and fostering a culture of national responsibility.
The governor emphasized that the province views intellectual and academic elites as essential partners in human development and in fostering social awareness. He praised the national and intellectual role played by His Eminence Sayyid al-Hakim in entrenching the values of religious moderation and promoting a middle-of-the-road approach, thereby serving Iraq’s stability and preserving the cohesion of its social fabric.
