The Governor of Anbar Meets with the Minister of Finance to Follow Up on Budget Matters and Secure the Province's Financial Rights

The Governor of Anbar, Engineer Omar Mash'an Dabous, met with Mr. Faleh Al-Sari, Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of Planning, to discuss a number of priority financial and service-related issues, follow up on procedures for the release of funding allocations, and secure the province’s entitlements, thereby supporting the implementation of projects and improving the level of services provided to citizens.

The meeting discussed mechanisms for disbursing project funding, paying compensation to affected citizens, and securing payments for border crossings, as well as following up on the cases of the families of martyrs, the wounded, and retirees, with a particular focus on reviewing cases involving retirees who are relatives of martyrs or the injured, to ensure fairness for those entitled to benefits and the protection of their rights in accordance with legal frameworks.

The meeting also addressed the completion of procedures related to the opening of a branch of the General Tax Authority in the Rutba District and the approval of the statistical code for the Al-Rahaliya Subdistrict, which will help enhance services and facilitate the processing of citizens’ transactions, in addition to completing the necessary administrative and financial procedures to expedite the completion of service and development projects.

The governor of Anbar affirmed that the local government continues to work with federal ministries and agencies to ensure the province’s financial rights and to secure the resources necessary to implement projects and improve service levels, in line with its responsibility to meet the needs of citizens and support the process of development and reconstruction in Anbar.
