The governor of Anbar inaugurated the Al-Tahadi checkpoint on the old road connecting to Baghdad to relieve pressure on the Al-Suqour checkpoint.
The governor of Anbar, Engineer Omar Mash'an Dabous, inaugurated the Al-Tahadi checkpoint today, Wednesday, at the eastern entrance to the province on the old road connecting Anbar and the capital, Baghdad. The ceremony was attended by Provincial Council member Mr. Ayoub al-Halbousi and a number of security officials and other relevant parties.
This step was taken to alleviate traffic congestion at the Al-Saqoor checkpoint and improve the flow of traffic, as part of a comprehensive plan to organize and develop major checkpoints by upgrading them and opening additional lanes and routes that help alleviate traffic bottlenecks, and to present the entrances to the governorate in a civilized manner befitting Anbar’s status.
The governor directed the relevant authorities to provide the basic necessities for control center staff, emphasizing the importance of supporting them so they can perform their security and service duties with high efficiency, while continuing to improve the work environment and enhance the quality of services provided.
